How Latching Relay Technology Works

The HFE18 is a bistable relay that uses a permanent magnet to maintain its contact position without continuous power. It only requires a brief pulse to change state, making it extremely energy-efficient.

Operating Principle:

• Set Coil: A positive pulse energizes the set coil, moving contacts to the "set" position
• Reset Coil: A positive pulse energizes the reset coil, moving contacts to the "reset" position
• Magnetic Latching: Permanent magnet holds the contacts in position without power
• State Memory: Relay remembers its position even during power outages
